jurisdiction of Patna police over SSR case

since Patna police has lodged an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, Sushant Singh Rajput's girlfriend. I was under the impression that this is a zero FIR as Patna PS does not have the jurisdiction. However, in an interview, I heard Sushant's father's lawyer claiming the jurisdiction. The aggrieved party wants the Bihar police to investigate the matter. can anyone please explain how does Patna police hold jurisdiction over SSR case?

Patna Police has received a complaint at Patna, they are registered a ZERO FIR. Further rectified your question Bihar is the state and Patna is the district of Bihar. Anyone can be lodged an FIR from any place. Where is the question of Jurisdiction?

yes FIR can be lodged wherever, but outside the jurisdiction it's a zero FIR that later has to be transferred to the PS having the jurisdiction over a particular case.
