1. Istreedhan:
a) What ever bride got as gifts, ornaments, clothes from her family and grooms family (Mangasutra/ clothes/ anyother ornament given as Shagun/ Moonhdikhai).
b) Cash given on various occasions to her/ both the groom and the bride as Shagun, religious/ social ceremonies.
c) Property given at the time of wedding (Furniture/ Appliances/ Car or anyother movable/ immovable property) by the family of the girl for household/ joint usage of any other person alongwith the bride.

2. Gifts:
a) Whatever was given without any demand to the groom or his family for the recepient's sole usage.

3. Dowry:
a) Whatever was given on demand to the groom or his family for joint/ sole usage of the recepient, whether the usage is jointly with bride or not.

only dowry and jewellery can be recovered either 406 IPC or in DV......not marriage expenses or travel
