Is there any law on brokerage?

Is there any law that will restrict the brokers asking huge brokerages while dealing Real Estates?

Dear Ishant,

There is no seperate law for the brokers. A broker is an agent of the person  who engaged him for the work. Their relations are governed by the provisions of INDIAN CONTRACT ACT

I agree with Sree but I think there was earlier a proposal to regulate real estate and land brokerage.

It is  a contract between the Prinicpal  and Broker / agent to provide some services with the agreed Remuneration . The real Estate brokers field is not  organized it requires to be organised udner any specific Scheme / law / Rules according to the local situations
