Is shifting allowed of already selected reserved category candidate

Sir, if A Candidate is selected in his category in 1st merit list of recruitment. Then in 2nd Merit list cut off goes down. Then will that selected candidate be shifted from his category to general category? Is double benefit allowed?

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether a candidate selected from a reserved category in the first merit list can be shifted to the general category if the cut-off decreases in the second list. The consensus is that a candidate must choose either the benefit of their reserved category or be considered as a general candidate. It is not permissible to take the benefit of reservation and then switch to the general category if it proves more advantageous.

A candidate belonging to reserved category can be accommodated in the general category  and vice versa if there is a vacancy and the candidate is eligible

Either benefit of reservation may be taken or seek appointment as general candidate.

You will have to opt for either of them and not where you may get appointment under "reserve" catagory and subsequently switch over to general catagory, when it is found to be more benefical.
