Is knowing about content of any will is necessary for a witness therein.

Is knowing about content of any will is necessary for a witness therein.

What can be implications if such will is challenged in court where witness signed the will without knowing its content and only knowing well to the testator and its sound mental condition at the time of registering the will.

A witness is witness only for the signature of the testator. He need only know the testator and he saw him sign the particular signature. He has nothing to do with the contents of the will.

Yes ,witnesses of will are not required to know the contents of will but they shoul be witness of testators signature and both testator and witnesses should sign on will in presence of each other.

If the testator has signed before you, you need not worry.
