Is it safe to give shop on rent to a political party

Dear Sir,

We have been approached by a local political party to give our shop on rent/lease for 5 yrs to him. After consulting with a lawyer, he suggested not to give the shop on lease for 5 yrs but rather make an agreemement for 11 months and keep renewing it. But when consulted with others, we are getting a mixed response. Some say that since he's in politics  he wil not vacate even after the registration is done - possible that he might not give timely rent etc. So my question is how functional is registration and after 11 months will we be able to vacate??
