Is Gratuity linked with PF or any other fund in Private companies?

Hi,

I am working in a private (Information Technology) company with 14-16 employee strength.

I am working here for more than 6 years. Now i have resigned from my job.

No PF or any other fund is deducted from our salary. Even then whether i am eligible for that(Gratuity)?

Are there any other criteria's also to be eligible?

Regards,
jeet

Yes. The employer is liable to pay gratuity though other deduction were not made. Once you have completed 5 years of continuous service, you are entitled for the graututiy. You have to make a claim to the employer for the payment of the gratuity within 30 days of its become due and payable.

Find attached an useful presentation on gratuity act. This will give you a clear picture.
