Is 79A,B still applicable in karnataka ?

can person with income more than 25LPA buy agriculture land in karnataka now..

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the applicability of Section 79A and 79B of Karnataka's land revenue act regarding the purchase of agricultural land. While historically only original agriculturists could buy such land, recent ordinances suggest that individuals, trusts, companies, or societies may now be qualified to purchase agricultural land regardless of their non-agricultural income. However, it's strongly advised to consult a local lawyer for precise guidance based on your specific circumstances.

Local laws apply.

Seek service of a local prudent lawyer for better appreciation of facts, professional guidance and necessary proceeding.

1. ONLY an original Agriculturist can purchase agricultural land, anywhere in India.  For other persons or legal entities, proper permission has to be taken from the district collector.

pursuant to the Ordinance, any individual (or a trust, company, society or an educational institution) will be qualified to purchase agricultural land regardless of the incomes derived by such individual(s) from non-agricultural sources.
