You just become a lawyer. As soon as you get registration in any Bar you can practice any type of practice. It is only your discretion as to which type of field of practice you choose.

You practice with a lawyer practicing on the IPR side for a few years. You will get recognised as an IPR lawyer slowly.

Dear friend, to get recognition in any field of law you have to put hard work on that particular area. You must go through all the recent judgments on IPR and also gain basic knowledge in respect of the provisions contained in Patent Act, Copyright and Trade Mark etc. MUst read news on IPR from web like lawyers club etc. I hope you will get the recognition soon.

Hi

You can opt for online Diploma course in IPR offered by World Intellectual Property Rights Organization ( WIPO). Primer course and DL 101 is free of cost. The study material and course content is good. Also you may like to have look at tmpsearches.com they have also started online course for those aspiring for career in IPR. It is also free of cost.

Dear Akhilesh,

Good to know that you wanted to become IPR lawyer. I would suggest to go for LLM in IP to recognize as an IPR lawyer.

Best Regards
