Can husband tell wife's parents, not to talk with her wife. Is there any point that we can fight against him. As she is warned/convinced by her husband not to talk with her parents. And he is giving warning to his wife's parents not to do phone call to her.

It is cruelty to wife. Wife can take action against her husband if she wish to take.

Dear Querist,
A husband not letting his wife talk to her parents amounts to mental cruelty towards the wife. It is given under sec.13(1)(a) of HMA that Social torture by anyone of the spouses to the other, found to be as the mental torture and cruelty.
In 1983, domestic violence was recognised as a specific criminal offence by the introduction of section 498-A into the Indian Penal Code. This section deals with cruelty by a husband or his family towards a married woman. Four types of cruelty are dealt with by this law.
