The letter is of no help whatsoever to you. Although it is not wise for a lawyer to sign a letter which his client addresses to the police, yet  by doing so he is not guilty of professional misconduct.  You cannot work the letter to your advantage as it is no interference with the police investigation. It is something very insignificant. She has every right to write a letter to the IO or the senior police functionaries. It is but natural that whatever a litigant does he does it on the instructions of his lawyer. The pre-requisite to taste success in the courtroom battle is to follow the instructions of your lawyer in letter and spirit.

Contest the case on the merits. All the best!
