Installation of 220 kw electric tower

Hi,

While Govt is installing Electrical Towers, I have read in Telegraph Act 1885 that compensation should be given to the land owner. If Land owner doesn't agree for the compensation, want to check if Contractors/Officers can install the tower with DC order with protection or discussion on compensation has to happen with District Magistrate before Tower is installed?

Can Land owner go for seeking Stay to install tower in Civil court till right compensation is given?

Regards,

Ram

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the legalities surrounding the installation of 220kW electric towers. It questions whether landowners are entitled to compensation under the Telegraph Act 1885 and what recourse they have if they disagree with the offered amount. Specifically, it asks if towers can be erected under a DC order without prior agreement and if landowners can seek a civil court injunction until fair compensation is settled. The Supreme Court's ruling on prior consent for power lines is also mentioned.

Removing roadblocks in reaching electricity to every village, the Supreme Court has ruled that no prior consent of landowners was required to lay overhead power transmission lines and erect towers to support these lines.
