I have filed an RTI with a Public authority seeking information regarding the recently conducted recruitment process by them I wanted "Roll number wise marks secured in each section of written examination, total marks secured in written examination, interview marks, total marks secured by candidates appeared for interview alongwith category, Status (Rejected or Selected), Reason for Rejection (for rejected candidates) for written qualified candidates only." To this, the public authority denied providing the information citing section 8 (1) j of RTI act and stating that information sought is personal in nature. Is this justified? Should i file a second appeal or complaint before CIC?
My aim is not to garner personal information of the candidates rather I want to know if the recruitment process has been fair enough or not?
