Hello (pm)     30 April 2012

Indian passport reissue - after deportation

Need your valuable answers/advise on my Indian passport reissue after deported from USA:

I was deported from USA due to a CIMT charge in Jan, 2008. While arrival at airport, I came out of the flight with my passport in my hand. I guess i told customs that I lost the job and overstayed. There is no stamp of deportation in my passport.  My passport expired in Jan, 2009 and now I am planning to apply for reissue the same.

Questions:

1) In the passport reissue forms, Do I need to mark "YES" on - Have you ever returned to India on Emergency Certificate (EC) or were ever deported or repatriated?

2) If I mark "NO", Is there a way our India passport office will know about my deportation and the reason for deportation?

3) Will I have any issues of getting passport reissued?

Thanks in advance for your support and answers.
