Income tax act sec 245 demand notice

years back, I had deposited differential tax at SBI counter thru challan and uploaded the same on portal while filing tax return. However, this year as refund is there, Dept issues Demand notice u/s 245 threatening adjustment.  How to resolve this.

Please guide.

If the notice contents are false and not maintainable you issue a reply notice denying their allegations and furnish the details pertaining to the transactions after which you can follow it through your advocate or chartered accountant.
