ILL EFFECTS OF YOUR HANDSETS

Impact of mobile phone radiations on Health

Mobile phones have become part and parcel of every one’s life. But there is a hubbub around the world going on about their impact on the health of users. Scientists suggest that the electromagnetic radiations emitted by mobile phones appear to be carcinogenic and they tend to create serious health issues. Below are some findings:

1.     Headache/hypertension: People who use the mobile phones frequently for a long time are said to have experienced severe headaches, dizziness, fatigue, drowsiness and so on.
2.     Heart issues: Conversation over mobile phones lasting more than 30 minutes can cause drastic increase in blood pressure and heart rate. Scientists say exposure to mobile phones' low-level radiation causes red blood cells to leak hemoglobin and can lead to heart disease and kidney stones.3.     Damage to brain: The electromagnetic radiations highly affect the areas of brain which are associated with learning, memory and movement. As per research, two minutes of exposure to emissions from mobile phones can disable a safety barrier in blood causing proteins and toxins to leak into the brain, which could stimulate the early influence of Alzheimer multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's.
4.     Young children's brains absorb twice as much cell phone radiation as those of adults. As they have thin layers of the skin on the skull, these radiations can damage their brain more easily, which can cause memory loss.

Here are some easy tips to save you from the complications caused by the use of mobile phones:

Ø  Answer your calls using left ear, as right ear is more close to important parts of the brain than left ear

Ø  Your phone emits more radiation when you talk. It uses less power (which means less radiation) to send text instead of voice. Also, texting keeps the phone - the radiation source - away from your head.

Ø  Fewer signal bars mean the phone has to step up its emissions to contact the tower. Call when your phone has a strong signal.
Ø  Hands-free devices cut exposure by keeping the instrument away from the head and body. Use a wired headset with a ferrite bead - A ferrite bead is a clip you put on the wire of a headset. The concern is that the wire itself emits radiation into your ear. The bead is designed to absorb the radiations

Ø  Use a Bluetooth earpiece – It still has radiation, but it is at least 100 times less than the radiation you get when you hold a cell phone to your head

Ø  Do not keep mobile phones near to the body when it is on vibration mode as it can affect internal body parts.
Ø  Do not keep mobiles phones in your shirt pockets, as it affects your heart.
Ø  Skip radiation shields such as antenna caps or keypad covers as they reduce the connection quality and force the phone to transmit at a higher power with higher radiation.
