If a sc candidate selected as own merit “ur" category,

if a sc candidate selected as own merit “UR" CATEGORY,

he will benefits of reservation in promotion or not??🙏🏻

and if he failed in verification of departmental caste verification because candidate caste is controversial ( there a dispute between the central government and the state government)?

job will remain on the basis of his own merit (UR).

Quick Summary
This discussion explores whether an SC candidate selected on their own merit under the 'UR' category is entitled to reservation benefits during promotions. It also addresses the implications if their caste verification fails due to a government dispute. The consensus is that if selected purely on merit without availing reservation, the candidate is treated as a general candidate and their selection remains valid. If caste verification is later successful, they may then be eligible to claim reservation benefits in promotions.
