husband should give money to wife from his salary

If husband is working in a government job and wife is not working then is there any law husband should give some percentage of his salary to wife? Currently my sister husband is not giving any money to her in their 8 years of marriage life. they have a daughter 5yrs old.

My answer to your query is Yes.
Firstly I recommend you to go to Advocate of your local area.
Now answering your question.
If husband neglect his wife without any legal reason then he has to pay his wife and dependents(children, parents)
You can make application under section 125 of code of criminal procedure for maintenance.
And another remedy is to make application under section 12 of DV Act.

Thanks a lot Sir for your valuable time. I want to clarify one thing that in this case husband and wife are staying together but husband is not giving any money to wife.
