I am looking for help to file a case against a person in Bangalore for misleading, cheating, defamation and trying to extract money by the above.

You can file a case avgainst him within the jurisdiction of the court where he has cheated you. You can file a police complaint, if police rejected to take the complaint then you will have to file private complaint in the court, for this advocates advise and help is needed. Contact your local lawyer.

1. Lodge a Police complaint sending a copy to the S.P.,
2. File an application before the Court praying for direction upon the police to investigate & act, based on your complaint.
