How to obtain land ownership title certificate in tamilnadu?

The property has no disputes, but since it's an ancestral property the land documents are lost/damaged. The Patta has the heir's name on it. Since the Mother documents are not available, a land ownership title certificate is requested by the registrar. How to obtain one from the tahsildhar . What is the procedure involved and fees?

With the base of revenue records you can approach the tahsildar and obtain patta. Local lawyer can help you for this issues .

Obtain title report from an advocate. He will undertake search of the title for the last thirty years and also records of the revenue department such as adangal etc and furnish his report. This should be acceptable to the authorities concerned.

It is better to consult and engage a local prudent lawyer for preparation of title search of the properties involved, appreciation of facts, professional guidance and necessary proceeding.

An advocate can help you by filing an application with the  SRO for title search.

If he is able to locate the registration documents by this title search you need not go to  SRO further on this and can proceed with your proposed program on the basis of the certified copy of this registration document.
