How to get certified copy of complaint

Hi All,

My brothers wife was given a complaint against my brother and my mother in my home town in the month SEP 2009. Based on her complaint polices conducted family counseling between my brother and his wife. Her complaint is not registered (when I say not registered it means, FIR not filed) but it is in their family counseling records.

I have the XEROX copy of this complaint. Because of some other issues I need the certified copy of the same complaint. When I request the polices for the certified copy, they are telling that we can not provide you the certified copy because the case is not registered. It is very important to me to get the certified copy of that complaint. Could you please suggest me, how to get the certified copy of this complaint , with in 3-4 days?

Shall I go and file a petition in the court asking them certify the XEROX copy of the complaint what I have ?

I can not ask this under RTI 2005, but it will take 30-45 days, I can not wait that longer, I want to get it in a week, please help me in this.

Thanks for efforts in this regard in advance.
Thanks,
Masthan

masthan sir,

if case is not registered, then the complaint is not a record and hence you could not get 'certified copy' from the police.

Hi Mohana Sundaram,

When I say the case is not registered, it means, the FIR is not registered but the her complaint is there in the family counseling records of police station. I want to get the certified copy of the complaint and the family counseling record.

Thanks,

Masthan
