How may years can a licensee be licensed to stay

I own a 2bhk in Kharghar -NaviMumbai, India. Last 4 years I have been giving it on "Leave and License" renewed after 11 months to the same licensee. He wants to renew it this time as well. I just would like to know is there any maximum number of years till the time I can renew with the same licensee? I mean if I renew it again is it safe? As I know in Maharashtra if I renew with the same tenant then he can go to court and claim for the property however, I also understand that only in "Lease" agreement the issue creeps up not in Leave and License. I am posting this question to know things correctly and be 100% assured.

yes, with leave and license agreement you can allow to continue the tenant to occupy the premises. but it is advisable to change your tenant within 5 years from the date of 1st agreement in order to avoid any problems from the tenant.
