How can a startup avail the benefits under sipp?

The Scheme for Facilitating Start-ups Intellectual Property Protection (SIPP) endows start-ups with a lot of benefits. To begin with, the SIPP has recognized facilitators who are to assist start-ups in gaining intellectual property protection. The cost of the Facilitators will be borne by the Government. In a notice dated 08.06.2016 the Government issued guidelines to the start-ups with regard to the way in which they can choose a facilitator. For more information on how to choose a facilitator and the benefits of SIPP please refer to our earlier blog post.

The most important requirement to avail the benefit of SIPP is to first gain recognition as a start-up. Read more.

Yes. The Startup India initiative is a good move by the Modi Government.

With support of the Director General of Intellectual Property Office, Country wide IPR facilitators are been recognoised, and they are availble to provide the legal and technical procedure services for free to Startup companies.

The process has certain conditions.

1) It must be recognised as Startup company by the StartupIndia conditions. Follow the below registration link. (Primary step)

2) You also have possiblities for Incubation.

3) You can register for your Trademark and Patents. But, you must pay the actual registration fee for the Trademarks and Patents respectively.

4) IPR facilitators like the Trademark Facilitator, and Patent facilitator, would provide the whole service for free of cost.

To register as Startup :
