Hindu marriage act

Sir, My wife living separately since last 9 years and divorce case is pending in court. Opposite party is contesting the case. Marriage is now dead. Myself mentally frustrated and it seems l am binded by court of law like a animal in cage. Since opposite party is living separately since nine years, can I pray before court : 1. To offer one time alimony and file a petition? 2. Settle the matter at earliest ??
