I am looking to buy a plot which in layout is marked as a shop. Person owning the land states we can build houe no issues since this has been layed out around7 - 10 years back and now it can be used a either house / shop. Please shed your thoughts is it legal to have house build in a land which has been marked commercial as shop in layout ?. If its not an issue what should I do to make it legally convert from shop to house ?

U make a revised plan of resident and pass the plan in Authority and grant a revised N.A permission for residential purpose otherwise u contect Municipal Corporation.
