Hi, i would like to know the following -
if i send a lawyer's notice (civil) to someone residing in my building saying he is a leasee and he proves that he is an owner and was never a leasee under me, can he file counter charges (criminal/civil) against me like harrassment, defamation or any other?

He cannot file criminal or defamation case against you. Let him prove his contentions in the court. File a suit for eviction.
