Guidance and Help Needed to help my Mentally Retarded Nephew

Hello All,

My Nephew is mentally retraded and her age is 35+. Her father expired 15 years before and mother expired 2 years back. A INdivudual house was owned by her mother and rental income come to that family.

She is living with her brother and his wife. They physically abuse her a lot and torture her with work and no proper food.

Is there any law to protect her legally. Is there any way that i can take the Guadian ship certicatate and admit in some hospital / school to look after her. Using the rental income, can we help her lead a better life ?

Guidance and suggesstions need to take the steps legally.

very sad to hear this.

i think DV act can be filed on your behalf,as the sister can also file it against brother.she can ask for protection orders,maintenance,right to live with dignity in shared household and also reveal all the torture she is facing daily.
