Hi,
I worked in my previous organiztion for 7 years and 5 months. at the time of F&F settlement employer paid me gratuity only for 7 years but not for 5 month while right from my joining the organization, it was shown as part of CTC. kindly let me know about such kind of deduction, on what basis organisation deducted my 5 months gratuity.

You erred while negotiating annual/monthly package.
Majority bof the employee's err.
Negotiate keeping in mind salary in hand.

By your own skills of persistence,persuasion, reasoning, negotiations if ou can get better terms and payment of Gratuity.
Employer can pay by its discretion/sweet will.
There are threads at LCI by employees that succeeded.
In future don't get carried away by CTC.
