Gpa regisration vs notorizatio

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am not sure if I have selected proper category/Sub category for this query?

My query is:

Does GPA need to be registered for property which is given as collateral for equitable mortgage or

notorization is needed/sufficient?

Kindly also suggest, what is difference between mortgage & equitable mortgage?
