Government employee with 2 jobs?

Currently I'm working in online job which pays me in crypto currency so, when I get government job one day.. can I continue both because crypto currency is not recognised as asset so, it's not considered as salary if I'm not wrong?

Quick Summary
This discussion explores whether a government employee can hold a second job, particularly one paid in cryptocurrency. While the initial query suggests crypto might not be considered salary, the response clarifies that under Central Civil Services (Conduct Rules), government servants generally need prior sanction to engage in any trade, business, or employment outside their primary role. Therefore, continuing a previous job simultaneously is typically not permitted.

Hi,

Under Rule 15 of Central Civil Services (Conduct Rules) no Government servant shall, except with the previous sanction of the Government, engage directly or indirectly in any trade or business or undertake any employment. So, you cannot continue your previous job simultaneously.

I hope this answers your question.

Have a good day!
