can he built house and gives on rent
is it legal??

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the complex legalities surrounding property designated for religious use in India, often referred to as 'God's property'. Under Indian law, deities are recognised as legal entities capable of owning property. Therefore, building on or selling such land without proper government permission and documentation is generally not considered legal. The presence or absence of clear documentation is crucial in determining the validity of any transactions or constructions.

Under Indian law, a deity is considered a “juristic person” - a legal entity that can own property and sue.so govt. permission is needed to sell it.

If it is a God's property, building house or selling it is not legal. But that has to be substantiated through proper documentation.
