My wife own a property measuring about 14 guntas at Mysore,Karnataka.
Now she want to prepare a gift deed to my son.So please explain me the procedure and format of the gift deed and what are the powers given to my son after the gift deed.

she can prepare gift deed on her sons name for this better to consult a local lawyer who will draft it and also will register it which will have legal binding with less stamp duty
and you have not mentioned your son is minor or major

Your wife can give her property to your son by Gift Deed, but this gift deed is registration at sub-registrar office. And for format of Gift Deed u see www.vakilno1.com site.

It is better to wait for one more year till he becomes major. If minor, will have to appoint a guardian.
