Gift deed

Hello,

I have few doubts regarding gift deed property transfer. I have a property in India and I would like to transfer it to my mom's name. But right now I am not in India. In this case, can I give a power of attorney to my sister so that she can register the property in my mom's name.

Please advice. Thank you very much

Susan

Yes you can do, but it has SPA and not GPA.

Yes you may. But Power of Attorney should be specific in nature. Acceptance of the same should explicit by your mother. Fur further assitance you may contact

Thank You very much for the reply. Can I make a Power of Attorney in a stamp paper and get it signed by the high commission.(Right now I am in UK).

It involves a process, you cannot make it so simple, get hold of counsel and he will do the rest.
