gift deed

is it possible to made gift deed for d- form patta land to one of her legal heirs?

Quick Summary
This discussion examines the possibility of creating a gift deed for D-Form Patta land to a legal heir. Generally, D-Form Patta land cannot be transferred without specific permission from the District Collector. While some argue it might be permissible for legal heirs under certain interpretations, the prevailing opinion suggests such transfers are invalid.

No. D-Form Patta land cannot be transferred unless you can get permission from the District Collector concerned on certain conditions.

because for example the owner of has two sons, after owner's death the land will partition to two sons, my doubt is why not total land give to one of his son, please justify this sir??
