FIL has a Criminal background, romour was he was a rowdy sheeter some time back, He filed false 498A thru his daughter to extort money, How to get the details of his criminal background from Police, RTI doesnt work in this case since it was Law and Order issue as per CIC Decision, Refer below link.

Just apply to the police station within limits of which your FIL is residing. Let them deny the information. Although I am unable to open the link stated by you. In my opinion, your demand does not touch the Law and Order Issue.

OTHERWISE ASKED THE STATE HOME DEPTT,
WHETHER ........ (NAME) SON OF ........ AGED ........ RESIDENT OF .......... HAS ANY CRIMINAL RECORD, AS PER YOUR RECORD - PAST AND AT PRESENT.
