framing of charge

hi friends,

 

can accused submit any documents at the time of framing charge?

and what does the word 'hearning' the submissions of the accused in section 227 crpc include production of some documents.

At the time of framing charge the court is bound to look into the materails produced by the prosecution only.

Accused can be heard with regard to admissibility or validity of those materials produced to ascertain as to whether prima facie materail exists to frame charge.

Accused has no right to submit documents and recent supreme court judgment affirms the same view.
