I live in a chawl in Dadar, Mumbai. 5 sons of the original owner are our landlords. Among these 5 sons, 3 are residing in our chawl.
We have put up our file for formation of society by paying 100 months rent to MHADA in 2006. But till now, there is no action or reply regarding this issue. All the tenants, except the landlord, are agreed to form a co-op housing society and have given their consent on an affidavit, which has been included in that file. What can we do to speed up the process?
Also, I would like to know that, is this the correct process for formation of society from a pagdi system? Or is there any alternate procedure that we can opt for? Has goverment or court approved such formation of society from a chawl anytime in the past?
