Forcefully having sex with a minor?

A minor girl fell in love with a boy who is major. He had s*x with her and than started blackmailing her to do more and more. Finally girl told the teacher at school. Where they informed the parents. As parents could not understand what to do. The FIRST thing they did is lodged a FIR. Now they are worried about the girls identity they fear that by the time boy gets punished the girl's name will be ruined. Now they think what can they do to be out of this mess. The victim is 16. Shall she go ahead with the complaint or backing off will be the option. They went ahead because the accused started blackmailing her.
