Flat owner ask me to repair their assets as i am rented

I am rented in a flat in Hyderabad since last one and half year. Now their paint got faded and fan, gyser and bulb is now not working properly, as they were too old when I came to this flat. Now while leaving they are asking me for a complete paint and all the repairs.

Is this correct? I am already giving rent for the flat and their assets. None of assets got damaged by me. And about paint, naturally if I after some years it will be faded, also they had not given me newly condition. Also since last april, they have not renewed rent aggrement.

Please help me, what should I do?

The rent agreement will continue with old agreement itself. Same rent.

You have used the house, the paint work you will have to get it done or else they will deduct from rent advance, they will also deduct expenses incurred to repair all the fan, geyser etc.

If your rent advance has died already, they can file case on you and make you roam to court. Court will order you to pay the rent, expenses incurred to paint, repair etc plus litigation expenses incurred by owner.
