First appeal court on district court decree

Sir any one idea, on OS decree in District court next court to file first appeal, If it is High court then second appeal court??

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the appeal process for court decrees in India. A first appeal against a District Court decree is typically filed in the High Court. If the initial decree comes from a Junior Civil Judge or Senior Civil Judge court, you have options for both first and second appeals, with the High Court hearing the second appeal. The Supreme Court may hear further appeals if admitted.

As per your query!

A first appeal lies against a decree passed by a court exercising original jurisdiction.
According to section 96 of CPC
The first appeal can be entertained by a subordinate Court to the district court or the High court.

According to section 100 of CPC, the second appeal can only be entertained by the High Court.
Hope it clarifies the issues!
