An FIR u/s498A can be filed against the husband/relatives of husband anytime after marriage. Since FIR levels only the allegations and their truth/falseness is verified only by Court during trial hence no need to panic.
Regd. the impact on the job, you needn't tell your employer now as it is not required and you don't know which way case is going to go. Hence keep fighting and don't worry it will not impact your career for now unless conviction happens which ofcourse is a subject matter of trial and you having the chance to fight further or appeal further in Sessions court/High court/Supreme court.
