Filing a divorce case

Is there a particular age limit for filing divorce cases? Can a person file a divorce case after 20 years of marriage? how much time does it take for a divorce case to be settled?

No age limit dear.

Eg:  "Bertie and Jessie Wood got a decree absolute to end their 36-year marriage when they were both two years away from their 100th birthdays."

He/she can file, there is no age limit. To dispose off the divorce suit is lengthy process of laws.

No age limit but petitioner will be hard pressed in indian court in case of contested divorce to explain the need to break the relationship after spending better part of one's life with each other. Without some objective ground like adultery with clinching evidence it will be next to impossible to get contested divorce. If decision is a well considered one go for MCD or spend another 20 years as his wife in courts. regards .ashok

No there isn't a age limit. The case may take a couple of years if it is contested and less if it is through a mutual consent.
