Family's property -

Dear Sirs,

One of my friend – on his personal income i.e. salary, he purchased

a plot at Bangalore from his Wife’s father.  But, the plot was registered

in his wife’s name.  This family has two daughters and a son. (These

three married ).  His wife is living separately and not asking divorce.                                                                              she took the registration bond of the plot and gave it to her elder daughter.                                                       As the plot was registered in the name of her mother,  the elder daughter                                      took the privilege, and the plot was transferred the elder daughter’s name.

At the same,  my friend purchased an agricultural land at Tamil Nadu  and

the same was registered at his wife’s name.  Still the land is in the name of his

wife.

My questions are :

Is there any chance to acquire the plot from the elder daughter ?  or

Is there any shares to another sister and son of the family ?  Will they

file a case against the elder daughter ? What will be the son’s right ?

What is the right of my friend in this case ?  -  both the plot as well as

the agricultural land in Tamil Nadu ?

As the owner of the agricultural land is in the name of wife, what will

be the share of the children ?

Kindly provide a guidance.

Thanking you,

( Dakshina )

Any property acquired by a woman is her absolute property. Neither her husband nor her children have any rights over her property during her life time.
