Exhibiting documents and cross in criminal proceeding

Dear Colleagues,

A DVA proceeding isgoing on in Thane court, none of the supporting documents relied and filed with the Aplication and WS is  marked/exhibited.  Applicant has filed the Affidavite-in-chief and court asked to start cross.

Now the problems and questions are--

When the court is supposed to decide admissible of the document filed with Plaint/WS?

If I ask questions on those unmarked documents, the documents will be exhibited otherwise I will miss opportunity to impeach.

So, can I recall the witness when documents are exhibited? Secondly, can I show any document (relevant) which is not filed and not covered under S.91 of Evidence Act, written but known (marriage card, mobile statement), to the witness while taking cross-examination in criminal proceeding?
