Hi,
I live overseas and wish to give power of attorney to a builder to demolish the building in which we falt owners wish to have this developer demolish and rebuild. What is the process for a person like me living overseas to give execute a General Power of Attorney. The Builder says that I must visit the local Indian High Commision to get the document endorsed to make it legal. Is that correct? I would appreciate your help.

Yes he is correct - such POA's to be recognizable under Indian Registration Act should be executed before Indian Consul in the country
