Exchange of properties

Dear Learned Gentlemen,

Namaskara,

A person wants to exchange his Constructed buildiing in Delhi with a property in Bangalore, Karnataka. Is it possible since the properties are in two different places with each place having its own stamp duty charges and other rules ?

Is it permissible under law ?

thanking you.

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the possibility of exchanging a constructed building in Delhi for a property in Bangalore. While properties are in different states with varying rules and stamp duties, the consensus is that such an exchange is legally permissible. It is advised to consult with a local advocate and the Sub-Registrar's office for guidance on the specific procedures and requirements.
