Evidentiary value of extra judicial confessions- its admissibility to secure conviction

To what extent extra judicial confessions can be relied upon to secure conviction when there is no occular evidence.

Quick Summary
This discussion examines the admissibility and weight of extra-judicial confessions in securing a conviction, particularly when no ocular evidence is present. Extra-judicial confession of accused need not in all cases be corroborated. Conviction of an accused can be based even on uncorroborated extra-judicial confession if it inspires confidence.
