If it is the statutory bonus, it would NOT attract ESI. However, if it is for performance, etc and paid monthly, it would attract ESI. Such invcentive may be paid quarterly, instead of monthly. However, employees at lower rung prefers bit more money for disposal income monthly !

No - if Bonus paid under Payment of Bonus Act .
