Esi for television based (ie. tele serial) workers

Hi,

As all are aware, the Cine - Workers have Welfare Fund Act, 1981 for ESI coverage.

Is any act / amendment / Notification (from the Ministry of Labour) for television workers (ie. tele serials based workers) for ESI coverage.

If, any, please help me.

It the employees are employees as per the ESI act, which is very wide and includes direct and indirect employees i.e. workmen or contractual employees or casuals drawing salary upto 10000 per month and working in an establishment or factory, in a notified area, they are governed by ESI act.
