Esi coverage

Dear Friends,

One of the unit is covered under the ESI act and the same unit is having sister concerns at various states in India. Is it mandatory to apply each code for each state OR the principal coverage place code number can be applicable ?.

Though there are many sister concern the main code can be used to deduct the ESI contribution and the same can be got deposited for different areas.  The employee can avail benefit anywhere in India.

you need to take state wise subcode to avail ESI benefit

Sub-code is mandatory. Besides compliance, it would help the employee get the medical benefit and also effective coverage for  accidents arising in the course of employment. For coverage of accidents, the distance between the establishment and the work place is a critical factor.
